Old wine tastes the best anyday!!!!

My dear frnd madhuri & myself find the traditional way of paper pen ink fantasizing than any.. It creates so much of a feeling n a sense of bonding when u feel the paper n smell the paper! It wud be funny if i were to say for 3 yrs after our 12th std, when madhuri was doing her UG in Madurai, we kept in touch thru letters aka snail-mail.. not e-mail.. i found so much of pleasure in reading.. mind u it was not even couriered! :) SLOW MAIL in the real sense! writing on chocolate wrappers, sending a single foto enclosed in the inland letter secretly, drawing teddy bears, smileys, hearts with color gels on inland letter... ... u need to feel it to know wat it is...

In this fast paced life, i m happy that i have still not missed upon the 'those-days-cherished' things... climbing on trees, riding cycle with 13 frnds wherein it used to be a 13-bogi-ed train (13 cycles back to back).. hiding behind trees n playing "fire-fire".. climbing on grills of the neighbouring house n screaming in different tones n pitches "run run run... run run run.. fire on the mountain run run run...", paandi (traditional n aeroplane paandi!!! hahaha), sneaking into the house of an old granny who was & is living in the neighbourhood & hiding under her old rexin sofa, oonjal, kitchen, during hide n seek!!! That granny being an orthodox lady used to say "pasangalaa pongo ingerndhu" & run behind each of us hiding in the nook n corner of her house!! at a time, like flock birds flying out of a tree, we all dart to the front door before paati catches us.. beneath the sofa, on the oonjal, near the rickety dining table were cats, of different sizes & colors.. in that scoot, invariably one of us trampled a cat & then, not only paati now cats we behind us too!!!
